PASS PLUS - MODULE 1 Module 1 is in two parts, Introduction and Town Driving.
Introduction - (Part 1 of 2)
In this first part you will have your driving licence and eyesight checked. Your instructor will then explain why the Pass Plus course was introduced and also the aims and objectives of the course.
An explanation of how important driver skills, knowledge and attitude can be and how they contribute towards safer driving.
Town Driving - (Part 2 of 2)
The driving part of this module should immediately follow the introduction.
As a driver you will need to be able to concentrate on observing what is happening around you, judging various hazards and being aware what is happening around the vehicle and how the vehicle could be affecting others. You will need to think about making eye contact with other road users and being aware of other more vulnerable road users. You will need to be able to drive with caution where necessary but not be so over cautious to cause frustration to other drivers. You will need to be able to create and maintain space around your vehicle.
To be awarded an Achieved grade there should be;
"Overall a satisfactory display of awareness and observations of all likely actions of other road users with only minor lapses in performance and reaction."
To be awarded an Exceeded grade you should have;
"Displayed effective awareness and good observations of all likely actions of other road users while showing ability to maintain appropriate progress."
